As Rubix’s Education Sector Lead, Richard ensures that sector knowledge, governance, and strategic delivery approaches are aligned to drive excellence across all major programmes. He is passionate about fostering integrated, client-focused solutions and strengthening our position as a trusted advisor in complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Richard brings over 20 years of experience managing complex, high-value projects across the United Kingdom and New Zealand, with a deep understanding of the full project lifecycle and diverse procurement models. His career has spanned multiple sectors, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality education infrastructure from funding and planning through design and construction. This includes significant experience within Government at the Ministry of Education, giving him unique insight into public sector project delivery.

Richard’s leadership philosophy centres on understanding projects from every angle and creating a collaborative, “project-first” environment. He prioritises efficiency, mitigates risk, and maximises value, while empowering teams to deliver with confidence, accountability and innovation. His approach ensures that education facilities in Aotearoa are not only delivered successfully but also provide long-lasting positive outcomes for communities and learners.
