As National Enabling Services Lead, he plays a pivotal role in shaping how our business operates, scales, and adapts, this ensures Rubix remains resilient, efficient, and at the forefront of industry best practice.
Ashton leads our business functions across finance, people and culture, digital and IT, and business operations. His focus is on strengthening and improving decision-quality, and streamlining the way the business progresses and performs. He is actively driving the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools and data-led systems, to enhance productivity, support smarter risk management, and free our teams to focus on higher-value delivery for our clients.
With an academic background in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and a PhD in Bioengineering, Ashton brings strong analytical rigour to executive and board-level decision-making. His early career included delivering complex infrastructure and procurement projects with Chevron Australia, followed by senior roles in the Christchurch post-earthquake rebuild and major port infrastructure programmes. This blend of technical depth, commercial insight, and delivery experience continues to inform his approach to governance and enterprise leadership.
